Gofyt has been going from strength to strength. There has been so much going on over the past few weeks, it has been hard to keep up. We’ve loved every second of it and can’t wait to see what the future holds. To start with, we have expanded the team, with some fantastically talented and enthusiastic interns. Fionnuala Hegarty and Sofie Aaboe Pedersen have joined us on for 6 months and 3 months, respectively and are doing amazing things with our social media. If you are around, don’t forget to say hello to them in the office! Inga Hampton, who has recently qualified with a first class honours degree in Interaction Design from UUB, has been blowing our minds with her incredible design work. Finally, Aaron Finnegan has joined for a year as his second-year placement to learn more about multimedia development. Despite the exciting whirlwind of our new additions in the office, we have been cracking away and as a result, we have recently launched our new dashboard feature. In addition, the registration feature has been updated to make sure the User Experience journey is a lot smoother. These have all been the outcomes of the use of Minimal Viable Product (MVP) testing, reflection, and feedback from our design team. We have some amazing things happening over the next few weeks and months, one of which involves our first seed funding round. It’s all becoming nerve-wracking but exhilarating for us all. Nevertheless, we still have so many ideas floating around for tweaks and improvements to the platform, and we still maintain one of our many philosophies that providing value to our customers is so important. These ideas and beliefs are what is pushing us on, and all the grunt work in the background is now beginning to show online, and we couldn’t be any prouder! The INVENT Final is upon us this Thursday, 6th September, where we will be pitching to a judging panel to win the Creative Media category against our fellow Ignite startup Justin and his start-up, MVPX. It’s going to be an exciting afternoon of pitching and we can’t wait to get back in-front of the judges to showcase our platform and how far we have come. To round off what has been the most eventful month, we hosted our first ever outdoor event in Victoria Park, Belfast. Limitless was a really enjoyable event, with our practitioners Joanna Mills, Christine McMahon and Jason Gillard. They absolutely crushed the day and we couldn’t have done it without them. It was a great success and we even had some of the Ignite crew down to cheer us on. Thanks Cathy & Adrien. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for gofyt. This is the start of a really exciting period, in which we could really sky rocket. Our social media have been growing steadily, and we can see this with the amount of interactions we have on our platforms. Let’s hope we can keep up the momentum and push on into the winter months, with as much, if not more, enthusiasm and perseverance.

Why I went gluten free, for a week
Never have I ever…had a restricted diet. DRINK! However, it was just the once. The previous few weeks I had been eating my normal, healthy (enough) diet. I enjoy the odd Dominoes every now and then, who doesn’t? But then
